Még az is lehet, hogy nem elég telepíteni az 'Egyszerű szolgáltasokat', hanem valami service-t is el kell indítani... Nem tudom...

A saját linuxomon valami ilyesmit csinál pl. a 'daytime':

$ telnet localhost 13

Connected to localhost.
