concerns with us, advising them that
we are awaiting final technical
instructions and parts. Once we have
this we will contact them again.”
We have heard from a non-Fiat
source that... “Fiat’s ‘first step’ in the
modifications is to change the engine
mountings, and if that doesn’t effect a
cure, only then will it either change the
gearbox for one with the lower ratio, or
strip it and fit the necessary parts, and
install a modified clutch too. All the
stiffer [Fiat] mountings will do is damp
the judder, not eradicate the
underlying defect
