4. Other proactive steps taken by the IPN.

Institute of National Remembrance actively reacts to all the cases in which new circumstances appear, which are presented also by means of the public media. In the recent period an example of such a case is that of dr. Hans Mω the last living doctor in the Federal Republic of Germany - from the SS Hygiene Institute in Auschwitz, and Institute of Anatomy of the medical Academy in Gda񳫠where soap from the human fat was produced, as well as the case of Georg Ripper, living in the Federal Republic of Germany, who committed Nazi crimes on Poles and Jews in Lida, whose case was recently dismissed by the German court. The Institute of National Remembrance is also active in the area of scientific publications.
