I. - Yes, we are going to talk with Andrei Grjazev now. But not only with him, but also with his coach Elena Vodorezova. Elena, we saw how nervous you were, and how happy you were after the victory. It seemed like this victory is equivalent to the Olympic victory for you. Why actually so??
A.G..- I’m totally happy. It is impossible to explain this feeling. Well, I had a bronze medal already, and I wanted to move higher. And today it became possible. And I’m absolutely satisfied. And hugest thanks to my coaches Elena Vodorezova and Tatiana Tarasova and to my psychologist Rudolf Zagajnov.
I. – Elena, and what this victory means for you?
E.V. – well, the previous year wasn’t lucky for us. And the previous Russian national wasn’t successful at all. So we waiting for this one, coz we were waiting for the turning-point to come. And today we witnessed the skating that Andrei can really show. Those who work with him knew, what he can really do. And we believed in him, and we were absolutely satisfied today.
I. – we all witnessed not once Andrei’s failures. What have all of you done so that he could show such a great, marvelous skating today? I guess not only the audience, but all of the journalists were jumping and crying from joy!!
A.G. – we worked really hard. And there was a huge aspiration! And it really worked today!
I. – have you already believed that you are the champion?
A.G. – I guess in the coming 10-15 minutes I will.
I. – what should happen for that?
A.G. – a press-conference!
I. – I see. Now tell me, sometimes it seemed that you didn’t believe in yourself in previous years. Have you finally believed in yourself now?
A.G. – yes, today I was feeling everything adequately. When I came on the ice for the warm-up, I felt confident, coz usually it is something terrible for me to warm up for 6 minutes. And coming on ice to perform the programme I was absolutely sure that this time everything will be all right!
I. – during several starts we saw near you the famous psychologist Rudolf Zagajnov. Today he wasn’t present. Weren’t you embarrassed by his absence?
A.G. – at first I was shocked a bit that he won’t come. But that’s not the end of life. I have my own head, and I must think for myself. And today I managed to fight it.

E.V. – I hope yes. Because today wasn’t an easy day. As Rudolf promised to come, but didn’t. and I was really very nervous because of that at first. But after a talk with Andrei I understood that everything is ok and things will be fine.
