PSV Eindhoven are being tipped to pip Real Betis to the signature of Peruvian star Jefferson Farfan.
Alianza Lima claimed last week that they had agreed a deal with Betis, but the method of payment did not suit the Peruvian outfit.

The delay allowed PSV to step in and Farfan is expected in Holland at some point this week to discuss terms with coach Guus Hiddink.

Dutch media reports are saying PSV have offered $2 million, $500,000 more than Betis, and will conclude the transfer at some point this week.

Farfan can play as a central striker but PSV coach Hiddink reportedly sees him as the man to fill the boots of Danish winger Dennis Rommedahl who is being tipped to head for pastures new after Euro 2004.

Hiddink is looking to overhaul his squad and reports are suggesting he is trying to lure United States international DaMarcus Beasley from MLS side Chicago Fire.
