hi all...érdekes volt a mai termés:) most talán még érdekesebb lesz:
tadaa!!!...az ALAN WILDER interjú...unedited:)
enjoy!

The Interview:

> 1.. I was warned about the lack of new info regarding future Recoil releases,
> but since the forum people are "demanding" it, I'm asking regardless . . .
> (risking tension & foul mood for the rest of the interview;-) Can you tell us
> anything about your next project? Will it be a complete departure from your
> last LP, Liquid?

Alan: There is very little I can tell you yet - sorry. I've been taking a
're-charge the enthusiam batteries' break over the last year and have
concentrated on domestic matters such as new babies and building work.

> 2.. Is there any kind of pressure from Daniel Miller & MUTE to work on new
> material?

Alan: No pressure. Actually I wouldn't mind some pressure from Mute but I don't
think they have a clue how to market my music - so they just wait until I
give them something and then go through their usual 'reactive' marketing
approach. I must admit I find it difficult to get enthused about making
more records which will receive little support and will be perceived as
'difficult'. It can make one feel like giving up sometimes.

> 3.. DVD singles are quite common these days. Can we expect the Recoil promos
> to appear in that format as well?

Alan: I hope so - I'd like to have them in that format at some point.

> 4.. Did the events of September 11th had any sort affect on you, and will that
> reflect on the new material? (Black Box, especially Part 2, sounds even more
> eerie than before . . .)

Alan: I think Sept 11th had a profound effect - on everybody I know at least.
Even more so given the live (and constantly) repeated images on TV. As you
point out, 'Black Box' kind of already serves the purpose so I don't think I
would try to specifically use that event in a literal way. However, human
nature at its worst always fascinates me and tends to reflect in what I
create somewhere down the line.

> 5.. After the somewhat disappointing "Singles Tour", your former band seems to
> be enjoying themselves on stage again. Even Dave - dare I say - is in
> "devotional" form (minus the drugs). Did you see any of the Exciter concerts?
> If you did, what did you think about it?

Alan: I haven't seen DM live since I left the band - and since I never 'saw' them
when I was in the band, it would be a unique experience no doubt. However,
my suspician is that I wouldn't be able to just enjoy going to a Mode show
since it would bring back so many odd recollections. My instinct tells me
it is better to just retain the memory of what it was like to perform with
them on stage.

> 6.. The year 2001 was a year of boy/girl bands, awful r&b divas, and teenaged
> pop-metal groups.

Alan: You said it.

>Could you recommend us some decent music? Perhaps some of
> your most recent purchases?

Alan: That's a tough one. Umm... recently I purchased Ian Brown's latest LP,
'Vespertine' by Bjork, Pink Floyd's greatest hits, The Dandy Warholes,
Elbow, Lamb and Aphex Twin (+ ELO's greatest hits for Hep - teh hee) with
mixed results. I could have saved my money on at least 2 of those.

> 7.. This is for Hep: What is the one thing, which Stan does - be that positive
> or negative - that makes you say: "You're just like your father!";-)

Hep: Dribbles, pukes, shits himself, makes a mess, moans, demands.... need I go
on?

> 8.. Did you talk to Curve regarding your contribution to their last LP? There
> was some confusion about that before . . .Will that record be available here
> in Europe as well?

Alan: No - I haven't spoken to Toni or Dean for a long time. I have no idea about
where their records are available.

> 9.. This is for you & Hep: Did the arrival of your son; Stan had any impact on
> Paris? Was she jealous of him at first? Is she "abusing" him yet?;-)

Alan: She adores him. And she knows she is adored too, so she doesn't have any
inferiority complexes - not that we've noticed anyway. Having a 5 year gap
seems to be quite good. Maybe it would have been different if she was
younger.

> 10.. I'm planning an Alan Wilder/Recoil Party/Bash sometime in March. Mostly
> Recoil & other songs related to you on the play list . . .Is there one song
> which you rather we didn't play at all? (Your dislike of "It's Called A Heart"
> is legendary;-)

Alan: Don't play any of the songs I wrote when I was in DM - especially 'Fools'.

> Also; we need an "official drink of the night" (perhaps a
> cocktail).

Alan: My suggestion: A 'Get Shunted':

I part Vodka (of course), I part dry Vermouth, juice of one Lime, 3 drops
Angostura bitters, top up with champagne. Add icecubes into cocktail shaker
- shake vigorously and pour into Highball glass.

Hep's suggestion: A 'Woodstock' (or 'Last Breath):

I part Gin, I part dry Vermouth, 1 part Pineapple juice, 1 white of an egg.
Add icecubes into cocktail shaker - shake vigorously and pour into Martini
glass.
