UNFORTUNATELY, THIS YEAR'S EVENT IS CANCELED.
Due to the current very critical situation, we have made this very difficult decision.
After a thorough evaluation of all the current circumstances, we have decided to cancel the 24th NATO Days in Ostrava and the Air Force Days of the Czech Republic Army, which were to be held at the Monov airport on September 21 and 22.
"It was the most unprecedentedly difficult decision for us in the entire 24-year history of the event. We think that the current difficult situation is not suitable for holding the event and we want to express solidarity with all the deployed members of the Fire and Rescue Service, the Police of the Czech Republic, the Army of the Czech Republic, rescuers, city policemen and many others who are and will be deployed to deal with the consequences the flood and especially with the citizens affected by it."
Another important factor is the heavily waterlogged terrain that does not allow the final part of the preparations to start, which we usually start on the Monday before the event in the airport area, especially the deteriorated condition of the access roads.
We believe that our supporters will understand the situation and we will be looking forward to NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Republic Air Force Days 2025 September 20 - 21, 2025!
Both components of the IZS and the Army of the Czech Republic are now needed elsewhere. We thank them all very much for their current commitment and wish them lots of strength.
