The structure of a real definition: The word whose meaning is given by the definition is called a definiendum (to be defined). And the (mostly complex) expression that gives the meaning is the definiens. A definition is nothing but a statement about the identity of meanings, the general scheme of which is: definiendum = df definiens". However, it is very possible to examine whether a statement is correct or incorrect. So a realistic definition is neither an axiom nor a dogma.

A reális definició szerkezete: Azt a szót, melynek a jelentését a definíció megadja, definiendumnak (meghatározandónak) nevezzük.
