Annyiszor elhangzik ez az atomfejes Tomahawk, csakhogy semmi bizonyíték nincs arra, hogy az USA tartana atomfejes Tomahawk-ot, inkább az ellenkezője:

"The Tomahawk can carry either conventional or nuclear payloads, though policy decisions have phased out their nuclear role."

Az elvi lehetőség persze megvan, akkoriban kb mindent úgy gyártottak, hogy lehetséges nukleáris töltettel is felszerelni, de a gyakorlatban ezek inkább lehetőségek maradtak.

By 2019, the only variants in service were non-nuclear, sea-launched variants manufactured by Raytheon.^[13]
