Kedves Andras(Janossy Dr.)/Kollegak! - ENGLISH FOLLOWS

A Duna elteritese nemcsak Szigetkoz es Csallokoz kornyezetet erintette
rendkivul karosan, hanem a kiemelt Duna csatorna 50,000 szlovak
allampolgarsagu magyar emberi jogait is serti, mivel eletuk veszelyben van a
gat attorese eseten. Szemelyesen (angol nyelvu cikk csatolva) en harom
nagyobb vizieromuvet (Niagara(USA), La Grande folyo(Quebec, 10,000MW),
Energia Varos(Quebec)) latogattam meg, egyik sem serti meg a lakossag emberi
jogait.

A kommunizmusban emberi jogok fabatkat sem ertek, azonban ma napsag
Magyarorszag es Szlovakia rendkivul igyekszik az EU-ba, ahol azok szamitanak
valamit. Szinten Clinton elnok az emberi jogok nagy tamogatoja.

Az Antall/Boross/Horn/Orban kormanyok kovetkezetesen letagadtak vagy
lekicsinyitettek Magyarorszag problemait szomszedaival beleertve a
hataronkivuli magyarok elnyomasat es a Duna ugyet. Azert teve, hogy
Magyarorszag siman bejusson a NATO-ba es EU-ba Lengyelorszaggal es a Cseh
Koztarsasaggal.

csallokozi magyar lakossag emberi jogai sertesenek: a bosi eromu es a
csatorna lebontasa, a Duna visszateritese az eredeti medrebe. Ennek
finanszirozasat Magyarorszagnak, Ausztrianak es Szlovakianak kell vallalnia,
EU, USA es Vilagbank segitseggel. Termeszetesen ez a megoldas tokeletes a
kornyezet karosodas begyogyitasara is.

The Gabcikovo (Bos) Hydro Plant Violates the Human Rights of 50,000
Hungarians
By Kalman Toth

The Gabcikovo hydro plant (Slovakia) includes an elevated Danube channel of
10 miles long, 35 to 50 ft high, 3/8 to ˝ mile wide, and 20 feet deep. This
channel was activated in 1992, and it is part of the feeding system for the
hydro plant. The Danube falls around 50 feet in 25 miles in the flat region
of Gabcikovo - Bratislava. This waterfall produces around 400 MW energy.
The elevated channel goes right by ancient Hungarian towns. The population
was not consulted about the elevated channel, rather it was forced on them
pretty much the dictatorial ways of Communism. There are around 50,000
people, mostly ethnic Hungarians, exposed to the danger of the elevated
channel break. Also three villages became doomed by being cutoff from other
townships in a narrow corridor between the elevated channel and the
old-Danube branches.

I have visited three other hydro plants, here are the brief descriptions:

1. La Grande River Hydroquebec (James Bay/Hudson Bay)

Six dam/waterfall plants total capacity 10,000MW. The village of Chisasibi
(Cree/Inuit, 2,000 people) was moved to higher ground in 1974 just in case a
dam breaks. No human rights violations. Ecological damage: disrupted
caribou migration.

2. Le Citie D'Energie, Quebec

40 meter waterfall plant 800MW capacity. No human rights violations.

3. Niagara Falls (Shared by US & Canada)

100 meter waterfall plant 2,500 MW capacity. No human rights violations.
