Reproduction of a Roman military diploma.
When a soldier ended his service in the army, whether he was a legionary or an auxiliary, he received an official document stating that he was released from his service with all the honors and if he was the army of a "peregrini", he was granted Roman citizenship.
The document delivered was a copy of the officer who was kept in the file.
The document contains the name of the emperor as supreme commander of the army and at the end were the names of the witnesses on the honor of the soldier on leave.
