Uraim,

egy Toyota hibrid autó műszaki leírásában találtam egy utalást arra, hogy az akkumulátor tüzet:

"(1) Use a dry powder acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) fire extinguisher

for fire-fighting." készülékkel kell oltani.

Namármost erről a vegyületről a wiki azt írja hogy: 

"Hazard for humans
ABS is stable to decomposition under normal use and polymer processing conditions with exposure to carcinogens well below workplace exposure limits.[20] However, at higher temperatures (400 °C) ABS can decompose into its constituents: butadiene (carcinogenic to humans), acrylonitrile (possibly carcinogenic to humans), and styrene.[20]" szóval nem tűnik egy kimondott tűzoltó anyagnak.

Arra is gondoltam, hogy egyszerűen elírták az ABC porral oltó nevét - de akkor miért írták így is: acrylonitrile butadiene styrene?!

A Toyota a gyári doksiban tévedne ekkorát?
