Some details aired by Jane's Defence Weekly correspondent Igor Tabak:

- 12 aircraft (10 + 2), all 'Peace Marble II' F-16C/D Block 30 upgraded to Barak 2020 standard. SLEP to ensure 3,000 additional flying hours beyond expected service life;
- Simulator, spares, pilot/technician training and local installation upgrades included;
- Total package value: HRK2.9 billion (USD480.3 million) payable in 10 years;
- Four bidders responded to the RFP: Israel, USA (new F-16 Block 70), Sweden (new Gripen C/D) and Greece (used F-16C/D Block 30 upgradeable to Block 50). Israel and Sweden made it to the final (unofficial) shortlist;
- Selection criteria: strategic relations (33% impact), finances (32%), capabilities (25%), and investment potential (10%).
