Még egyszer nekifutottam a mondat értelmezésének, s rá kellett jönnöm, mindketten hibásan fordítottunk.

Level III, the oldest, apparently dates to the Pre-Pottery Neolithic A (PPNA) or Early PPNB (Pustovoytov 2002) and exhibits buildings that are usually oval and about 15 m*10 m in size with at least two concentric walls built around and often incorporating a bilaterally symmetrical arrangement of  T-shaped monoliths in the perimeter and two larger  ones  near  the  center  (fig.  2).  Two  of  these  buildings also  exhibit  monumental  stone  entranceways  or  “U  stones” toward  the  south  or  southeast  (Schmidt  2006b:155–157).  It is difficult to assess whether the level III buildings were constructed  and  used  about  the same time or at different times during the Early Neolithic. Level IIA dates securely to Middle PPNB,  ca.  7500  cal.  BC,  and  has  smaller  (ca. 5  m*3m)

Mint látható, nincs időbeni átfedés a Korai PPNB és a Középső PPNB között:

A PPNB a PPNA-t váltotta fel Kr. e. 7300 körül, és ezután mintegy 1400 éven át létezett. Négy szakaszát szokás elkülöníteni:

1. Korai: Kr. e. 7500 – Kr. e. 7200
2. Középső: Kr. e. 7200 – Kr. e. 6500
3. Kései: Kr. e. 6500 – Kr. e. 6000
4. Végső/PPNC: Kr. e. 6000 – Kr. e. 5900

Viszont tény, hogy a III. rétegben nemcsak egyetlen épületet tártak fel, (fent pirossal kiemelt) amit én hagytam figyelmen kívül, így a vitatott mondat - miután a II. rétegben feltártakra nem vonatkozhat - nyilván ezekre a létesítményekre értendő és a tanulmány szerzője szerint ezek között nehéz időbeli sorrendiséget megállapítani az építést és egyben a használatot illetően.
