We also translated another interview with RJ from his trip to Hungary in 2003 (http://www.theoryland.com/intvmain.php?i=923). If you remember, AMoL ended with Rand somehow lighting his pipe without using the Power.

So this quote was very interesting: 

Galgóczi Móni: My sources tell me that you are a passionate pipe-smoker. One of my friends thinks that pipe-smokers see the world totally differently. Is this true?

Robert Jordan: I don't think so, but the idea is very good. I will use it someday, somewhere. 

Who knows, maybe this is what inspired the last scene. :)
