'I don't believe avocado seeds are ever truly polyembryonic, in the sense that some of the seedlings will be clonal duplicates of the female parent. There is just one embryo, and it is zygotic (hybrid). Very often, though, that embryo will produce several sprouts when the seed germinates, so it LOOKs polyembryonic.'
