Jó kis este volt!

 

Bemelegítésnek megkaptuk "Svájc legjobb heavy metal zenekarát" (a dolog szépséghibája, hogy ezt ők maguk állítják önmagukról myspace-lapjukon...), nos, előzenekarnak hallottam már rosszabbat is, jobbat is. Csak azok a germán-metálos egykaptafa indulós refrének ne lettek volna...

 

Andersen és bandája megkínálta a lassan azért elfogadható számban összegyűlt nagyérdeműt egy kb. 75 percnyi Paradox I-II. mix-szel - nagyjából egyet innen, egyet onnan leosztásban -, ráadásként pedig kaptunk 3/4 órányi válogatást a banda másfél évtizedéből. Történt mindez - az általam belakott helyről - igen jó hangzással (mely mintha a kényszerű mikrofoncsere után fokozatosan egyre hangosabb lett volna, ám így sem vált masszává), Boals óriásit énekelt, a zenész urak az idő múlásával egyre jobban élvezték (ld. turné eleji frissesség), mondjuk a második részben éreztem némi vontatottságot (Boals  amennyire "szótlan" volt az első részben, annyira bepótolta később, aztán volt némi fölösnek érzett basszus-csattogtatás), ám összességében azt kaptam, amire számítottam.

Nagyon-nagyon jo a Paradox II., melto az elso reszhez! Boals kiraly es vegre megint termeszetesen szol a lemez. Gyakorlatilag hibatlan.

(Azért elég érdekes lehet ülős helyszínen játszani ilyen zenét... Néha az jutott eszembe, hogy aki föláll, azt biztos lenyomják a helyére...)

After playing a few European dates this year RH picked the historic stage of Sct.Petersburgs Music Hall to film their new “live in concert” DVD on. A beautiful old theatre and some 1000+ enthusiastic fans created great atmosphere for this event, which lasted about 2 hours (the band played a wide selection of songs from all of their releases since 1991 and some tracks from the latest one – Paper Blood) and was captured by 6 cameras. The package will also include some backstage footage as well as interviews with bandmembers and their roadcrew. Estimated release date is spring of 2006.

Watch out, the hunting season is open, ROYAL HUNT is on the move again.

After a short break from the Trilogy the band started writing new material during the months of autumn 2002. In the beginning of February 2003 they started recording the new album with the working title "Eye Witness".

Drums recorded by Allan Tschicaja, bass by Steen Mogensen, guitars by JK, keyboards by Andre Andersen and John West will do the singing.

The new album will be released worldwide in the end of May 2003. The exact dates by territory will follow shortly.

Soon we will have updates and pix from the recording sessions and later some sound bites as well.

You can expect the highest quality of song writing, lyrical depth and extraordinary musicianship like only
ROYAL HUNT can deliver.
