Pet Shop Boys are pleased to announce “Disco 5”, the latest instalment of their continuing “Disco” album series of dance tracks and remixes which started in 1986. The new album will be released on 21 November via Parlophone Records and is available to pre-order now.
The 12-track collection features Pet Shop Boys’ recent remixes of songs by artists including Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Primal Scream, Paul Weller, Tina Turner, Claptone, Wolfgang Tillmans and more, as well as a remix of their own track “Dreamland” featuring Olly Alexander. The PSB-produced “I’m in Love With a German Film Star” by Sam Taylor-Johnson, originally released on Kompakt in 2008, is included along with Carroll Thompson’s “Let the Music Play” which was produced by PSB in the early 90s when it appeared in the soundtrack for the hit film, “The Crying Game”. The album also features the duo’s remix of Sleaford Mods’ cover of Pet Shop Boys’ iconic “West End girls” and the PSB/Soft Cell collaboration “Purple Zone”.
“Disco 5” will be available on black or orange vinyl and CD, as well as digitally. The full track-listing is as follows:

Anyagi bukta tuti nem lenne, mert a gyűjtők rögtön szétkapkodják ezeket. A kazetta gyártása ráadásul fillérekbe kerül. Kylie szerencsére él is a cassingle lehetőségével, ami persze mindig hamar sold out.
7" meg cassingle lenne a hab a tortán, de az már tényleg valószínűleg totál bukta anyagilag, na meg persze ebben az ál-zöldülő világban az első számú bébifóka-gyilkosokká léptetné elő őket.
Pet Shop Boys announce their new double A‑side single, “New London boy / All the young dudes”, and an accompanying remixes single, both of which are now available to pre-order on CD at the link below.
The first single includes a new radio edit of “New London boy” and a cover version of David Bowie’s “All the young dudes” produced by James Ford with orchestra arranged by Anne Dudley, along with a “Delinquent” version produced by PSB and an extended remix by Richard X, plus a previously-unreleased song, “Beauty has laid siege to the city”, also produced by PSB.
The remix single starts with the Richard X radio edit of “All the young dudes” and includes further remixes by Boy Harsher of “New London boy”, I. JORDAN of “All the young dudes” plus “Clean Air Hybrid Electric Bus”, a PSB track which was previously only available on the Japanese Deluxe CD of “Nonetheless”.
The cover of CD1 features a photo of Neil taken in 1972 when he first moved to London and CD2 has a photo of Chris taken circa 1981.
The digital single bundles will be released on Thursday, 7th November, with the CD singles to follow on Friday, 15th November.
Szerintem is. Bár ez már úgyis csak a PSB rajongóknak szólna, akik megvennék, szóval rizikót nem vállalna vele a kiadó. Furcsa, hogy a 4-es után soha többé nem jött folytatás.
Dave Gahan Always On My Mind feldolgozása után most a Pet Shop Boys is feldolgozza a The Dark End Of The Street-et, amit szintén feldolgozott már Dave :)
Személyes kedvencem a Feel az albumról, mondjuk őszintén szólva egyre jobban szeretem az egészet. Van egy-két gyengébb, de ezt, a New London Boyt vagy a Bullett for Narcissust szívesen hallgatnám élőben is. Jó lenne, ha jövőre új turnéval indulnának és több dal lenne a Hotspotról meg erről. A You are the one-t és az I Don't Wanna-t még mindig imádom.
