Adelaide, 7 November 1993.
Ayrton Senna ended his six-year journey with McLaren in the best way possible – by winning the Australian Grand Prix. It was his fifth win of the season, the 41st of his career… and the last.
On the podium, he stood beside his greatest rival. Alain Prost, already crowned a four-time World Champion, finished second – and this too marked an ending. His final race. His final laps.
Senna’s gesture was quiet but powerful: he invited Prost onto the top step. No speeches – just one shared moment.
For Senna, it was also the final podium, the final points, the final classified finish. The 1994 season would bring two retirements… and then Imola.
For Brazil, another win wouldn’t come until Rubens Barrichello in 2000 at Hockenheim.
Two legends. One farewell. One afternoon in Adelaide that still echoes through time.
Lentebb pont beraktam a videót, ahol Erik Comas nyilatkozik Senna balesetéről, de van fent vele egy interjú ahol meg nem győz hálálkodni, hogy Senna megmentette az életét. Ez nem egy véletlen dolog volt, Senna pontosan tudta, hogy mekkora a baj és hogy neki kell segíteni mert a pályabírók nem tudják mekkora a veszély.
Vályi Pista a fb oldalára feltette Ayrton 89-es suzukai körét, az alábbi kommenttel.

Ti tudtatok erről, hogy a mindenki által ismert imolai szobor (emlékmű) mellett Lengyelországban, Wałbrzych városában is van egy csodás szobor (emlékmű) Senna tiszteletére? :O
Erik Comas nyilatkozik a balesetéről, hogy Ayrton megmentette az életét, és hogy mit érzett Senna balesete után, hogy csak tehetetlenül nézte ahogy elszállítják. :(
