[Dotmusic] Egy harlemi templomban mutatja be megjelenés előtt
álló új albumának, a Vespertine-nek dalait Björk. A koncert a
new yorki Riverside Church nevű templomban kerül
megrendezésre, ahol az izlandi énekesnő a tervek szerint két
45 perces blokkban adja elő dalait. Az első körben a San
Franciscó-i, elektronikus zenét játszó, az új Björk-albumon is
közreműködő Matmos kíséri majd, míg a második
háromnegyed órában Zeena Parkins harmonikajátékos lesz a
vendég. Björk hivatalos honlapja, a www.bjork.com szerint az
énekesnő a későbbiekben hasonló koncerteket tervez a világ
több más pontján is, ám mellesleg konkrét, az album
megjelenésével illetve az azt követő turnéval kapcsolatos
információk még nem kerültek napvilágra. +Björk

BJÖRK ON WHY VERSPERTINE IS LATE: on why Vespertine is late: "I guess I've been pretty loyal - I work with the same people since I was a teenager, like the record-company people, and I guess I've been pretty difficult to deal within this sense that I've kinda ignored the record industry so far. My songs are ready and [I'll say] "Put it out!", and they'll like "But...aaaaaaahhhh...We wanna do our job"....And I'd just say "FFFFfffff..." y'know, that word I almost said. (laughs). Sorry. (laughs) And this time around they kinda begged me. I guess that's fair y'know, when 10 times I get to do it my way, and then one, they get it to do their way..."
BJORK ON THE ALBUM: "I guess it's sort of "cocoon-style". Homogenic was very extrovert, confrontational, maybe a bit [aggresive]...with the beats kinda distorted on purpose and the violins kinda being over-emotional, dramatic, sort of the romantic-style...and the lyrics is very sort of eye-contact, in-your-face...So on all levels, it was confrontational...I guess [Vespertine] is sort of the opposite, when you're living, like maybe inside your house at winter time, on your own, and it's snowing outside, and it's sort of you whispering in little corners and sort of cocoon-style, sort of like when you don't have to speak for a week, and you just get into that trance-like peaceful state, it's sort of euphoric, but very private. So, I guess it's that kinda album. I like it when you're on your own, kinda have a day off or a week-off, and you're in your house and you just put music on that's sort of comforts you in that way...it's like silk-cloths and... you know...pancakes and stuff."
BJÖRK ON THE MEANING OF VESPERTINE:"My friend e-mailed me a very strange dictionary and I found it there, because I sort of wanted to sum up...First the album was gonna be called "Domestika", because it's about finding paradise in your kitchen, it's about playing a symphony with a teaspoon or something...that is all there, you don't have to go around the world to search for it. So I started off like "Domestika", and then I thought once I established that whole idea with musical instruments I thought maybe I didn't have to be so literal about the title, so I thought "Vespertine"...'cause it's sort of about slight of a 'prayer-like aspect' to this album and 'Vespers' are kinda evening prayers...and also it's about everything in the twilight...and because the winter-element to it that it's sort of when it's dark outside, but you've got candles inside and it's sort of got a dark quality to it that I like...magical dark-quality..."

most hogy szoltatok, benéztem a björkcomra, és kicsit nem értem vagy felületes vagyok [ilyenkor könnyen lehet], de nekem úgy tünik, hogy nem minden szám stimmel az mp3-hoz képest. akinek meg van az mp3 nézzen már rá itt.. lehet persze, hogy csak az mp3 címei nem stimmelnek, a zene ugyanaz, de furi
Szeretném megszerezni a Gling-Gló-t. Három szám megvan belôle, de nagyon hiányzik a többi is. Tudna valaki segíteni? Bármilyen megoldás érdekel. Cserébe tudom ajánlani pl. az MTV Unplugged koncertet (Debut), egy másik koncert Debut & Post dalokkal, különbözô mixeket, duetteket (Skin, PJ Harvey). De a Vespertine (mire megvehetem megveszek) és az 1977-es album is érdekelne.
Személy szerint ezért a képért vagyok odáig a többi ismertebb mellett, na meg még egy cipőfűzős csendéletért egy hajóval a kezében, majd megpróbálom kikotorászni és közzéteszem
