LONDON (Reuters)(DS) - Champions Manchester United and title rivals Arsenal treated their home fans to 5-0
goal feasts on Saturday to stay on level terms at the top of the English premier league.
England forward Teddy Sheringham scored a hat-trick and Andy Cole bagged two more as United
shrugged off a midweek Champions League defeat by Anderlecht to thrash Southampton and stay top of
the table on goal difference.
Arsenal stayed alongside United on 24 points after knocking in five against 10-man Manchester City at
Highbury.
Goals from Coles came in both matches - Arsenal's young defender Ashley Cole celebrated his home
premiership debut with his second goal of the season shortly after City had Danny Tiatto sent off in the 43rd
minute.
Cole broke through one minute later with an unstoppable shot from long range and also hit the bar in the
second half as Arsenal made the most of their numerical superiority.
Thierry Henry scored twice for Arsenal while Dennis Bergkamp and Sylvain Wiltord provided the others.
Goalkeeper John Lukic, who turns 40 in December, made his first premiership appearance in 3-1/2 years
as stand-in for Arsenal's injured David Seaman.
Leicester City, who beat Derby County 2-1, moved back to third place a point ahead of Liverpool, who
play Everton at Anfield on Sunday, and Ipswich, who beat Middlesbrough 2-1.
Chelsea continued their progress up the table under new coach Claudio Rainieri by beating Tottenham
Hotspur 3-0 at Stamford Bridge.

A tavalyihoz azt,hogy még ismeretlen volt és nem annyira figyelték az idény elején.Utána pedig annyira elkapta a fonalat,hogy már a hátáról is bepattant a laszti.
Az ideiről annyit,hogy most fog igazán megméretni. Majd kiderül,hogy csak üstökös volt vagy állócsillag lesz belőle.( szvsz az előbbi )
