The Cure will be playing their only show of the Summer at the Royal Albert Hall, London on Saturday, 1st April 2006.

The show is taking place as part of the 2006 Teenage Cancer Trust Concerts running from March 27th - April 1st. The full line-up (with surprises still to be announced) is:

Previous Teenage Cancer Trust shows have featured The Who, Oasis, Kaiser Chiefs, Franz Ferdinand, Keane, Paul Weller, Coldplay, Bryan Adams, Ash, Doves, Robert Plant, UB40, Madness, Eric Clapton and Roger Daltrey, who is a patron of Teenage Cancer Trust and who, with the Trusts Chairman Dr Adrian Whiteson OBE, came up with the idea of these Albert Hall shows.
Every day in the UK, six teenagers are diagnosed with cancer and the numbers are rising. As a result of the funds raised from these shows and other events Roger Daltrey is involved in for TCT, the charity has been able to help a great deal more of these teenagers.
Since the first show in November 2000, TCT has opened Units in Sheffield and Liverpool and a new Unit in London. In 2006 the charity will open a Unit in Glasgow and will begin building work on sites in Cardiff and Cambridge. TCT appointed the worlds first Professor of Teenage and Young Adult Cancer Medicine and in August 2005 welcomed a set of NICE (National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence) Guidance advocating a desperate need for more specialist age-appropriate cancer wards, like those built by TCT.
Talking about this years shows, Roger Daltrey CBE said: Every year there are nights that stand out in the diary but this year every night stands out. Weve got some of the best British bands who have come through in the last few years - Goldfrapp, Bloc Party, Mystery Jets and Razorlight and those nights are going to be special. The comedy night is undoubtedly going to be a triumph as ever. The Tommy Vance tribute is already shaping up to be a fantastic night of hard rock with Judas Priest, Scorpions and Ian Gillan; and what can I say about The Cure? I wont be missing that gig for anything.
Teenage Cancer Trust Chairman, Dr Adrian Whiteson OBE said These shows are really making a difference for many young people with cancer. Since the first Who and Friends Show at the Albert Hall in November 2000, these gigs have raised enough money to build more Teenage Cancer Trust Units and we remain indebted to Roger Daltrey and the other artists who give up their time for TCT.
Teenage Cancer Trust
Teenage Cancer Trust was set up to focus on the particular needs of teenagers and young adults with cancer, leukaemia, Hodgkins and related diseases. The Trust builds special units, developed and decorated to cater for teenage needs usually, teenagers with cancer are placed either in a paediatric ward with young children or in adult wards with elderly patients.
Teenage Cancer Trust anticipates a 15% increase in survival rates for patients treated on the units, of which there are currently seven in Britain. The Trust hopes to raise enough over the next few years to increase that number to 22 units costs an average £1.5m each to build.
tök mindegy, milyen minőség, több kamera, több eltérő hangzás, stereo-mono eltérés, mozgatása miatti elcsúszások ezeket csak a számok szüneteiben tudod korrigálni. különben elég ratyi lesz a kimenet... a második esetben meg azt kapod, hogy minden szám után esetleg szünet...
Volt még egy másik Lyuk film is, arra emlékszik valaki? Hasonló volt a Holnap érdeklődés hiányában elmarad-hoz, csak nem volt annyira drámai. Szintén Cure-osok, DM-esek dumáltak benne, meg a Rés együttes tagjai, na az volt az igazán vicces! A zenekar énekesnője és gitárosa élettársak voltak, és a kamerák előtt vesztek össze tök spontán, egymás szennyesét kiteregetve. :)))) Rés koncertrészletek is voltak.
Jajaja ! Az lesz az ! Csak nem tudtam, hogy milyen nemzetiségű volt a film. Sejtettem, hogy vmelyik keleti régióból való, de nem tudtam az országot. Nekem is csak az a kép ugrik be, amikor egy sötét táncparkettet mutatnak, alig felismerhető árnyak "táncolnak" szól a WCIBY. Nyílik egy ajtó a távolban, befut egy jólöltözött figura, és a vonagló tömeg közé siet... Na, ezt a filmet szeretném megszerezni, hátha....
Nem véletlenűl írtam, hogy a One Hundred után várnám az anyagot talán felkelti valaki érdeklődését, hogy addig azért csak meg van és szívesen folytatnám....
A "Deviánsok iskoláját" láttam annó a tv-ben, de úgy emlékszem, csak annyiban kapcsolódott a Cure-hoz, hogy párszor valami tánocs mulatságot mutattak, miközben a "Why Can't I Be You?" szólt. Az alaptémája mintha egy lengyel iskola lett volna, melyet különféle szubkultúrákhoz tartozó emberek számára alapítottak.
ilyen felvetést én is tettem, és olyannyira 0.000 válasz érkezett rá, hogy még anyámba se küldtek haza, hanem utána, hogy ezt írtam, 2-3 szólással tovább ment a kinek mije van és ki tudná... kezdetű dolgok.
így szerintem, addig ne állj féllábon, míg bárki is elárazt téged alapanyaggal...
Párom is ugyanazon nevű mint te, és neki is a Boys dont cry a csengőhangja... Nekem meg a Kraftwerk: Das model :) a másik telefonom meg egy kegyetlen, matrix feelingű analóg csengővel riogat, na az üt, mikor elkezd csörögni tömegben :)

Nekem igy hirtelen nagyon felkeltette az erdeklodesemet, viszont most sajna kulfoldon vagyok, es csak a honap vegen megyek haza.
Pontosan hol van az az iroda, ahol meg lehet venni a konyvet??? Ja, es a Livingroomban mikor lehet megvenni, barmikor oda lehet menni, vagy csak akkor van ez a lehetoseg, ha valami buli van?
Szeretném megtudni, hogy a szegedi koncertet tényleg meg lehet e szerezni DVD. S ha igen kitől és hogyan. Igazából nem a DVD érdekelne hanem a bedigitalizált anyag. Természetesen ha rossz minőségű akkor tárgytalan.

Jó akkor lehet hogy nektek van igazatok, de engem mindenesetre zavarna ha egy általam kedvelt szám agyonbutított verziója (mármint hangzásban) szólalna meg állandóan pár másodpercre a zsebemben... Elég hamar megutálnám, attól tartok. Úgyhogy maradok a madárcsiripelésnél. :)
