Kicserélhetnénk egymással a véleményünket, információinkat stb. Profi rajongók, figyelem! Máris a figyelmetekbe ajánlok egy hasznos weboldalt: www.rarebeatles.com
Subject: JOHN LENNON KILLER COULD BE OUT BY END OF THE YEAR
In October (00) MARK CHAPMAN, the man who shot JOHN LENNON, will appear before a state parole board which will decide whether he should be freed - and YOKO ONO will help them decide.
Chapman who has served the minimum twenty years of his sentence may be released in December (00).
And the person who will potentially have the most power over the board's decision is Ono who has the right to request an audience.
John's two sons, SEAN, from his marriage to Yoko and JULIAN, from his first marriage to CYNTHIA LENNON are strongly opposed to Chapman's release, but Yoko has refused to discuss her plans.
Chapman regularly gets death threats from BEATLES fans, but is protected inside the maximum security ATTICA PRISON.
A friend of Yoko's says, "The point we make to Yoko is that if he is allowed out, it will only be a matter of time before someone decides to get the man who got the BEATLE.
"We're not trying to give her a cop out, but if John Lennon could speak from the grave I'm sure he would say that it would be wrong to subject Mark to a situation in which he would almost certainly be killed, perpetuating the circle of senseless violence."
Puszta tények, comment nélkül:
A VH1 zenecsatorna nézőinek szavazatai alapján az évszázad pop-rock előadóinak listája:
i. THE BEATLES, 2. Queen, 3. Madonna, 4. ABBA, 5. George Michael.

George Harrison feared he and his wife were about to die during their furious struggle with a crazed knifeman last week.
The lucky Beatle -- stabbed just an inch from his heart -- told a friend he was sure they were headed for the same fate as slain bandmate John Lennon.
"It was life or death, and they both believed they were going to die," one of Harrison's close als said.
"It was a long, vicious struggle."
The 56-year-old superstar -- who is recuperating at his 120-room mansion after being released New Year's Day -- also gave full credit to wife Olivia for subduing attacker Michael Abram.
"He knows if it had not been for his dear wife, that people would very likely be attending his funeral," another friend said.
The nightmarish attack occurred last Thursday when 33-year-old Abram, a heroin-addicted mental patient, broke into Harrison's home in Henley, England.
He hacked away at the startled musician until Olivia jumped him and engaged in a fierce 10-minute battle -- which ended when she smashed a lamp over his head.
The knife punctured Harrison's right lung. His left thumb and fingers were also cut as he tried to grab the 7-inch blade of the knife from the madman.
That wound -- which required several stitches -- had Harrison terrified he might never play the guitar again.
"Once George knew he was not going to die from his chest wound, his next thought was for his hand. He was obviously concerned about his ability to play the guitar," a source close to the ex-Beatle said.
Fortunately, no important tendons or nerves were severed and surgeons told Harrison he should regain full use of the hand.
Sources told The Post last night that both Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr have phoned Harrison and may visit him in the next week or so.
The reclusive Harrison -- who penned such Beatles standards as "Something" and "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" -- may now be even more private as a result of the attack.
"He has his family with him for the moment and has no other plans than to get better. We do not foresee him leaving the house for a long while," one security guard at the estate said.
"He is very tired but glad to be home."
Abram faces attempted murder charges and is locked up in a psychiatric hospital until his next court appearance on Feb. 11. He claimed Harrison was "a witch."
The Harrison assault occurred 19 years to the month after Lennon was gunned down in front of his home at the Dakota on Central Park West in Manhattan.
Meanwhile, Cristin Keleher -- the obsessed female fan who busted into Harrison's vacation home in Hawaii, cooked pizza and did her laundry -- is due in court next Tuesday.

Subject: Ex-Beatle George hires SAS bodyguards
George Harrison has hired two ex-SAS soldiers to guard him after he and wife Olivia were stabbed in their Henley home last week. They will cost George $1,600 (Ł1,000) a week each and will work 12-hour shifts so there is always one on call. The news comes a day after another Harrison-obsessed fan was charged with burglary and theft in Hawaii.
27 year-old Cristin Keleher broke into Harrison's Hawaiian home last week, resulting in a brief appearance at Maui Criminal Court to have her passport taken away from her after she was released on $5,000 (Ł3,000) bail following her arrest on December 23, a week before the attack on Harrison, who usually spends two to three months each year at the remote mansion on Maui's north shore.
Keheler has been charged with first degree burglary and fourth degree theft after prosecutors claim Keleher had been stalking Harrison. Officer Jeffrey Hunt alleges, "She said she had cooked a frozen pizza, drank a root beer soda, she was doing her laundry and she had made a long-distance call to her mother in New Jersey."
Meanwhile in Britain the SAS men will guard George and Olivia at their 120-room mansion as he recovers from his injuries. A source says, "George decided he needs his own muscle on hand. He is still extremely shaken and knows he has had a close call."
Elképesztő. A talán legbékésebb rockzenekar immáron második tagját éri merénylet. Állítólag nagyobb is lehetett volna a baj. Különös játéka a sorsnak...
Most csatlakoztam a Fórumhoz!
Más: Néhány hete elindítottam a magyar Paul McCartney levelezőlistát! Itt a rajongók megbeszélhetnek bármit: a Run Devil Run-t, Heather Mills-t, vagy akár Paul aranyszínű körömlakkját a Cavern koncerten : )) Ha többet szeretnétek tudni, kattintsatok ide: http://www.onelist.com/community/PaulMcCartneyLista vagy írjatok nekem: bluebird@mail.datanet.hu Mindenkit szeretettel várok!
Jogos. Tőlem egyébként üldögélhetne sörösrekeszen is, akkor is jó a dal! :)
I once had a girl,
Or should I say
She once had me.
She showed me her room,
...

Itt van néhány keresetlen mondat a dologról. Valóban, Gilmour-t láttam a TV-ben.
Aztán olvastam is róla pár sort.
Let Mozart be, Beatles top millennium pops
From an AFP correspondent in London
The Beatles the band of the millennium? John Lennon and Paul McCartney more influential than Mozart?
Those are some of the findings in what organisers claim to be Britain's biggest survey of popular musical tastes to date.
The Beatles notched up most of the top honours in the poll of 600,000 people, conducted by a record store company and Channel 4 television.
Mozart came in seventh in the list of influential musicians behind Lennon, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Jimi Hendrix and McCartney. Bach was 10th.
The Beatles finished top for best band – ahead of Queen, the Rolling Stones and U2 – and in the best album category for Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Michael Jackson's Thriller was runner-up best album.
Lennon and McCartney were the top two songwriters, but they missed out on the best song category, where top spot went to Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody – although Lennon's Imagine was second.
Best male singer was Presley and best female was Madonna. Best jazz musician was Louis Armstrong.
In classical music, Vivaldi's Four Seasons was the best piece, followed by Holst's Planets Suite and Beethoven's 9th symphony.
