Griazev gave a solid performance to “The Godfather” and other movie soundtracks by Nino Rota that included a triple Lutz, a big triple Axel, a triple Axel-double toeloop combination and three more triples as well as a level four change foot sit spin and three level-three spins. The reigning Russian Champion scored 135.18 points (69.68/65.50) and was ranked fifth in the Free Skating. He held on to third place with 206.13 points overall. “I am glad that I was able to do my job. I did almost everything”, Griazev told the press. “I am not too surprised (to be in third), because I was third at another Grand Prix event (2005 Cup of China) with a similar deep field a while ago”, the 22-year-old skater said.

EB-re 2 orosz mehet, a vébére 1. Piseev dönti el, hogy melyikük mehet, az EB-re gondolom majd a bajnokság első 2 helyezettje mehet, a vébé előtt még biztos csináltat valami teszt korcsolyázást. Mondjuk, azon sem lennék meglepődve, ha az EB előtt is lenne egy... Jövő héten ott az NHK Trophy, ahol szintén jól kell szerepelnie Andrei-nek. Végig kiegyensúlyozottan kell versenyeznie, akkor van rá esély, hogy legalább az EB-re kijusson...
Hurrá! Andrei dobogós lett a Cup of Russia-n!!! Megőrízte a 3. helyét a szabadprogram után. Úgy örülök ennek:) Csak valaki töltené már fel a videókat, mert persze úgy értem haza, hogy már csak a Johnny interjút láttam:((( Oké, még a Domnina-Shabalint is... de ez annyira nem vígasztal...
Büszke voltam magamra, mert fogalmam sincs honnan de annyit értettem az egészből, hogy ez egy új szezon és a múltat el kell felejteni. Kasey összefoglalta nagyjából, hogy mit mondott és az elején tényleg ezt mondta! :))) Elfelejtette a múltat, most már koncentrálni fog. Nagyon boldog, hogy tiszta programot tudott futni és a közönségnek is tetszett. Reméli, hogy a szabad programja is tiszta lesz és nem fog pontokat veszíteni.
Remélem, tényleg minden rendbe lesz vele most már. Bár inkább semmit sem akarok elkiabálni... Bízom benne, hogy ma is nagyon ügyes lesz és bebizonyítja, hogy milyen jó korcsolyázó!
Griazev, who missed two competitions earlier this season due to injury celebrated a comeback with a clean program to “Didle Mourani” by Space. The Russian Champion completed a triple Lutz-triple toeloop, a high triple Axel, a triple flip and earned a level four for his combination spin and a level three for the two other spins to score 70.95 points (39.20/31.75), just short of his personal best of 71.00 points. “I was supposed to skate in two other competitions before, but unfortunately I wasn’t able to compete there because of my injury. I had an ankle injury. Now I’m feeling much better and I don’t think I’ll have any problems in the future”, Griazev commented.
