THE SENIOR OF THE CLASSICS ON THE PROGRAMME
To conclude the series of different tours through the Belgian Ardennes, the senior of the classics, Liège-Bastogne-Liège, promises again to deliver a beautiful spectacle. Over a course of 262 km, about seven hours of racing time, and a number of climbs, amongst them the "Côte Saint-Nicolas" (11.1% over one kilometre) just 5.5 km before the finishing line, the final winner of this race will have to prove some solid qualities.
The winner of 2005, Alexander Vinokourov (KAZ) will also be at the start this year. He will be supported by his team-mates, amongst whom we will find Matthias Kessler (GER). He finished sixth here in 2004 and 2002, and will without any doubt be stimulated by his recent good results (4th at the Amstel Gold Race and at the Flèche Wallonne).

Igen, nagyon sajnáltam hogy nem indult el Schumival (így utólag persze okos az ember). Sajnos még mindig nincs Pro Tour szakaszgyőzelmünk, még úgy se, hogy Pro Tour versenyt már nyertünk... Fleche Wallone, LBL jó lenne ha ott is villogna Matze. Aztán majd meglátjuk, hogy a Solymunk mit tud kifőzni a Giron vagy előbb a Romandiai körön.:)

Szép volt Matthias! Vagy ma Ivanov, legalábbis Sipi mindig azt mondta, amíg ki nem derítették.:) Én egyébként Iglinskyre gondoltam. Sajnos a végén Rebellin (a kopasz.:)) meg Di Luca is megelőzték de sebaj, azért a holland bajnokot, az egyik legjobb spanyolt, és a világbajnokot is megelőzte Matze. Szép volt a fiúk! A többiek gondolom feladták.
AMSTEL GOLD RACE (April 22, 2007)
A RACE WITH 31 HILLS
This coming Sunday, April 22, 2007 more than 250 km will be on the field’s program for the Amstel Gold Race. Departing from Maastricht (NED), the cyclists will complete a demanding course with no less than 31 hills, including three times the famous Cauberg, where also the finishing line will be.
The Astana Cycling Team will feature in particular the Russian Sergueï Ivanov (2nd in 2002, 8th in 2004 and 10th last year) and the German Matthias Kessler (6th in 2004). Both of them intend to be more than simple observers in this 42nd edition of the Amstel Gold Race.

A csapat nem szerepelt túl fényesen ezen a versenyen, dehát nem is ezek a klasszikusok fekszenek nekünk.:) A csapatból négyen is feladták, remélem nem buktak... Nem láttam a közvetítést...
Two more riders named in the Operación Puerto affair have apparently found new teams. German Jörg Jaksche has signed for two years with Team Tinkoff, according to various news outlets.
The other rider is Spaniard Joseba Beloki, who, according to AS, has agreed to terms with Team Astana. The one-year contract has not yet been signed, but it is reported "almost definite." The 33 year-old would not be expected to ride the Tour de France this year, but would be available for the Vuelta a Espana.
Ez a verseny tulajdonképpen egy ilyen túlélő verseny lett. Rengetegen feladták csapatunkból is... Gratulálok Mazetnek és Mizourovnak és Colomnak is! Ezen végigmenni is szép dolog. Colom sajnos idén nem került fel a dobogóra, csak 11.-ik lett, de sebaj később lesz ez jobb is.:)
Elég könnyen, mert egynap legfeljebb 3-4 topicba írnak a lelkes olvasók:-)
Szeritem idén a touron mindenképp Vino lesz a csapatkapitány, ha esik, ha fúj. Három évvel idősebb Köldinél, bevalottan ez az utolsó szezonja, jövőre szeretné átvenni a sportigazgatói szerepet az öreg Waltertől. Klödinek még van ideje.
A Giro kapitányságra szerintem van esélye, Savoldelli eddig még nem mutatott olyan formát, amivel eséllyell szállhatna harcba.
Végre sikerült betenni a topikot a Kedvencek közé,(már v 5X akartam, de hát szenilitás :o)) csak azt áruljátok már el, h a fenébe tudtok ennyi kedvencre mind odafigyelni ? :))))
Na szóval, a Tirreno-Adriatico óta azon töröm a kobakom, hogyan lehetne Klödi 1. ember Vino mellett a Touron .... hát érdekes egy szitu lesz, ha az dönt majd, h éppen akkor és ott melyikük a jobb.
Viszont Klödivel kapcsolatban megfigyelhető, h különböző szezonokat fut, egy jó évet kettő rosszabb(gyengébb, v szerencsétlenebb) követ. 2001 és 2004 volt jó éve sztem, és ha most elindulna a Giron, min. a dobogó meglenne. De lehet tényleg hűvös lenne neki még a május a nagy hegymenetekhez, bár 1 hónapja nem úgy tűnt, mintha gondja lenne ...
Vagy a mostani kesze-kusza állapotoktól zilált mezőnyben egy duplázás ..? :o)
AIR ASTANA, THE NEW PARTNER OF THE TEAM
The Kazakh airline, Air Astana, joins the group of seven Kazakh enterprises currently supporting the Astana Cycling Team. The agreement not only contains a financial contribution, but also foresees air transportation for the entire cycling team. In return, as of this spring, the jerseys of the cyclists will carry the logo of the Kazakh airline.
Air Astana serves not less than eleven destinations, including Frankfurt, London, Amsterdam, Moscow, Bangkok and even Dubai, not mentioning the sixteen cities in Kazakhstan, such as Astana and Almaty.
Új partnere van a csapatnak! A Kazah Légitársaság az Air Astana is mostantól a támogatóink közé lépett. Ez nem csak anyagi formában jelenik meg, hanem mostantól a csapat felszereléseit is az Air Astana szállítja. A cég logója mostantól rajta lesz a mezünkön is. Az Air Astana elég sok helyre indít járatot, például Frankfurtba, Londonba, Amszterdamba, Moszkvába, Bangkokba de akár Dubaiba is. Kazahsztánban tizenhat helyen száll le, de a központ Astana és Alma-Ata lesz.
Ennyit tudtam lefordítani csekély angol tudásommal (szörnyen tanítják...) ha hiba lenne benne légyszíves szóljatok!
Azt még régebben nyilatkozta Klödi, hogy a Giro túl nehéz lenne az alacsony testsúlya miatt, mert nincsenek tartalékai. És ezért egy évben a Giro és a Tour nem fog neki összejönni.
Pár héttel ezelőtt Peeetikének volt egy érdekes felvetése, miszerint Klöden is indul a Giron Savo mellett. Lehet, hogy tényleg ez lehet mert Sólyom most is az egyik szakaszon majdnem 14 percet kapott ami azért egy hónappal a Giro előtt rengeteg...
Nyilatkozott Klödi, hogy egyértelműen a Tourra készül. Ahhoz képest elég korán jó formába került. Néha nagyon el tudja szúrni a felkészüléspét, csak nehogy most is ez legyen.
PARIS - ROUBAIX (April 15, 2007)
A TRUELY MYTHICAL RACE
Considering the inferno in which the field will find itself this Sunday, April 15, the slogan “the hardest of the hard”, is also for this 105th edition certainly not an exaggeration. They will depart from Compiègne and arrive in Roubaix after 259.5 km, of which 52.7 km are divided into 28 cobblestone sections.
Amongst the eight participating cyclists of the Astana Cycling Team is Koen De Kort (NED) who finished 14th with the field at Gand – Wevelgem. According to his own words he is in good shape and will have to be taken seriously; even more so since he had already won this race in 2004 in the U23 category. With the additional support of another young cyclist, Michael Schär (SUI), who finished fourth last year with the U23, Astana can have realistic ambitions.

Savoldelli is induét a versenyen de még nagyon gyenge pedig egy hónap múlva már Giro! Ébredj Savo!:)
