"We struggled quite a lot with the battery, temperature, and consumption, which weren't looking good even from the beginning. I had to slow down every lap as the consumption was going too high. So now we have to understand what we can do why and what we need to change.

"I think I had a little too good of a time in the beginning following the pace of the others and really getting into the racing as the car had good pace and felt good. The problem was that five laps in, I got the message to slow down to regenerate as we were consuming too much energy. The rest of the race commenced like this, regenerating and saving battery to make sure we could finish.
Then we had a problem in the pitstop as the second car didn't start properly, we still have to understand why, so we didn't have the easiest start in the second stint. Now we have to work with the team to understand why the energy consumption was so high in the beginning. Nevertheless, I'd like to say a big thank you to Jarno and his whole team for having me and for all of their support in getting me ready to race today.
As for Formula E, a driver always have to be versatile and it was a really good experience. We'll have to let the future decide if there will be more races in Formula E for me."

"It was a bitter weekend for us. We showed a lot of potential and good performance. Due to the lack of the usual practice, we didn't manage to get the race configuration right and therefor we couldn't achieve a better result.
Vitantonio Liuzzi delivered an astonishing performance for us within such of a short time of free practice and without any experience at all on these kind of cars. He proved to be a quick, reliable and mature driver and exceeded beyond our expectations.

Az utóbbi három napban már harmadjára történik versenyzőcsere a Formula-E-ben: Vitantonio Liuzzi Michela Cerrutit helyettesíti majd Miamiban, folytatva az összolasz kooperációt.
Az F1-ben utoljára 2011-ben, a Hispaniával induló Liuzzi az utóbbi három évben az International Super Series-ben, a japán Super GT-ben, valamint a Super Formulában állt rajthoz, és 2015-ben újabb „szuper lehetőség” találta meg: ő lesz a szériában pontnélküli Michela Cerruti helyettese a hétvégi Formula-E Miami ePrix-n.
A csere oka prózai: a 28 éves hölgy nem szeretne már tovább a sorozatban versenyezni, honfitársának pedig kapkodnia kell magát, hiszen éppen vakációját töltötte, amikor megkapta a hírt, de legalább az Egyesült Államokban tartózkodik.
„Nagyon boldog vagyok a lehetőség miatt, hogy Jarnóval versenyezhetek” – idézte az Autosport Liuzzit. „Éppen itt tartózkodtam az USA-ban, amikor kaptam egy telefonhívást Jarnótól, hogy nem lenne-e kedvem a csapattal tartani a hétvégén. Persze, hogy igent mondtam. Igazi kiváltság egy ilyen régi baráttal együtt versenyezni, és nagyszerű lesz, hogy csapattársak lehetünk. Az első feladat egy versenyruhát találnom – és nem kell meglepődni, ha Jarno egyik sisakját fogom használni.”
A Trulli Team csapatfőnöke, Lucio Cavuto sajnálja a pilótanő távozását. „Az egész csapattal együtt szomorú vagyok, hogy Michela nem fog többet velünk versenyezni. Szeretnénk megragadni az alkalmat, hogy megköszönjük a közreműködését, és a legjobbat kívánjuk neki a jövőre nézve.”
Michela Cerruti will not be driving for the Trulli Formula E team with effect from the Miami ePrix, as she has decided to withdraw her participation for professional reasons. Instead, we are pleased to announce that world-class driver, Vitantonio Liuzzi, will be taking the no 18 car seat.
A Formula-E első idényében még minden résztvevő csapat egységesen a Spark-Renault SRT_01E által gyártott versenygéppel fut, amelybe az erőforrást a McLaren Electronic Systems biztosította. A következő, 2015/2016-os évadtól azonban 8 új gyártó érkezik a sorozatba.
Mindegyiküket az FIA választotta ki egy pályázati felhívás keretében, és a nyolc említett motorgyártó közül hat egy meglevő Formula-E-s csapathoz kötődik, míg kettő kívülről érkezik. A Renault Sport már eddig is technikai partnere volt a tavaly év végén elindult környezetbarát versenysorozatnak, illetve az e.DAMS csapaton keresztül is képviseltette magát – a 2015/16-os idénytől kezdve ők lesznek az egyik motorbeszállítói a szériának az ABT Sportsline, az Andretti, Mahindra, a Venturi Automobiles és a Virgin Racing Engineering, továbbá az új résztvevőként csatlakozó Motomatica és NEXTEV TCR mellett.
A nyolc említett csapat szabadon fejleszthet majd teljes hajtásláncot, amely egy ún. e-motorból, egy inverterből, egy váltóból és egy hűtőrendszerből fog állni. A csomag többi eleme változatlan marad, de a Formula-E autók később, a harmadik szezonban újabb evolúción esnek majd át, ekkor az akkumulátorokat érinti majd a változás.
„Az egyik célunk a kezdetektől fogva az volt, hogy elősegítsük a technológiák közötti versengést, de ezt a bajnokság szervezőiként mi nem tudjuk megtenni, ehhez más szerepvállalókra van szükségünk, akik csatlakoznak és technológiákat fejlesztenek ki, amikkel aztán versenyezhetnek egymással a futamokon” – kommentálta a bejelentést az Autosportnak nyilatkozva Alejandro Agag, a Formula-E vezére.
„Ezen a harcon keresztül technikai vívmányokat fejlesztünk ki, majd ezekkel a műszaki megoldásokkal általánosságban véve az elektromos meghajtású autókat is fejlesztjük. A harmadik szezontól kezdve újabb gyártók csatlakozására számítunk, és több lehetséges jelölttel már most tárgyalásokat folytatunk” – tette hozzá a sorozat első embere.
