Capriati planning a comeback

Former world number one and two-time Australian Open winner Jennifer Capriati still plans a comeback despite being 30 and missing the last two years with a shoulder injury.

Capriati has been sidelined since undergoing arthroscopic surgery in 2005 to repair a torn labrum in her right shoulder.
But she was quoted on the WTA website as saying she is still training and is planning to play again.

"These days, if I'm not travelling to go see a doctor I'm just hanging out, trying to have some fun. I'm still in Florida, I still work out, I'm still trying to come back," she said.
The American won the 2001 and 2002 Australian Open titles as well as the 2001 French Open. But injuries have kept her out since she withdrew from the Australian Open in 2005.

Capriati made history by becoming the youngest player to reach a WTA final aged 13 before drug and personal problems saw her retreat from the game.
But she came back in style to win the Australian Open in 2001, defeating Martina Hingis, who herself made a successful comeback here last year after three years out of the game.
