A beméréshez, elhárításhoz nagy érzékenységű vevőket használnak, negatív radarnak nevezik. Nincs sugárzásuk, csak a drónok vezérlő és saját rendszerük azonosító jeleit veszik. A drónok megsemmisítése, harcképtelenné tétele pedig nem töltettel, hagyományos tüzérségi eszközökkel történik, hanem erős rádiójellel, ami tönkre teszi a drón navigációs rendszerét. Itt a kérdés megint az, ki volt a gyorsabb.
