1-2 új hír. A BSG film, bármilyen meglepő még folyamatban van. Az előkészületekkel az év végéig végeznek, aztán jövőre forgatás. remélem ez a sok idő, amit szentelnek a produkcióra látszódni fog. Simon Kindberg producerrel beszélgettek.
"We are in the process of going out to directors and the hope is to attach a director and start prepping the movie this year. It's a megillah, humongous film and the prep will be a very long prep period so I would imagine even if we attached a director today it would take six, nine months to prep this movie properly. So at the earliest, we'd be shooting at the end of this year. We'd probably be shooting at the beginning of next year. Time will tell who the director is and then you or someone else will tell who the director is."
A reboot sori is fejlesztés alatt. ezzel kapcsolatban az a jó hír, hogy a készülő mozifilm és a reboot sorozat egy univerzumot fog alkotni. tehát a korábbi sorozattól egyáltalán nem lesz független. na, ez érdekes.
"In terms of the situation with Sam and the show, I can't say too much about it other than there is synergy between the two enterprises and constant communication between us. We've become close and been having a really good time together and there will be, for lack of a better phrase and it's an overused phrase, a shared universe."
tehát úgy tűnik, nem akarnak nagy faszságot tenni, és figyelembe veszik a korábbi sorozat rajongótáborát is.
“So we’re gonna really experiment with form on this one because Battlestar, again given the rich mythology that’s in there already, we want to hit every nook and cranny and because of the format, because of Peacock and streaming – and they’ve been such great partners with us in trying to experiment – we want to get in the writers room and let the story tell us how it wants to be released.”
“So I can’t tell you the number of episodes, but it’s also kind of a little meaningless because I think we’re gonna look at it as sort of like a spider web where we can plot and point and say, ‘Well this isn’t chronologically after Episode 1 or Episode 2, it’s the backstory of someone, but let’s release that so audiences can check that out if they want or they can just jump into the battle sequence’. We’re really gonna experiment with form in that way, and again I think with a property like Battlestar it lends to that.”
“Mike is writing the pilot and he would be the showrunner, and I would just produce… I felt like for me, in terms of that specific hard sci-fi… it’s probably a level one too deep for me, and I didn’t think I’d be the perfect candidate. But I know what I like about Battlestar so that’s why I think I’d be better in more of an EP role on this show, and again Mike who’s tackling it is doing a fantastic job.”
“I want to shoot later this year. Again a lot of that is up in the air given COVID and just the lay of the land in terms of where the world is and where we can even shoot it. The other thing is this is gonna require a big production just to even start up production and build the sets and start getting the VFX fine-tuned. One of the things I always attribute to the Ron Moore Battlestar is the VFX is just outstanding and pretty groundbreaking… it will be tough to get it off the ground this year, but that’s my goal. I’m pretty impatient, again I’m a fan of this show so I want to see it as soon as possible, so I’m gonna push for 2021.”
nem tudom van-e értelme mozit csinálni belőle, ezután a nagyszerű sorozat után. abban mindent megtudtunk, nem hiszem, hogy sokat tudna még adni hozzá egy mozifilm.
Az elmúlt hetekben véletlenszerűen újranéztem egy-egy epizódot. Aztán youtubeon akadtam rá erre a videóra, illetve többre is. Akit érdekel a BSG és ezeket még neaddjisten nem látta, azoknak bátran ajánlom:
Én sem hiszem, hogy egy pár órás filmbe bármi értelmeset bele lehetne sűríteni. Max arra lesz jó, hogy megnézzünk egy Battlestart vagy Cylon Baseship-et a legújabb CG technológiával... Színészileg a magasra tette a lécet a sorozat, szóval nem sok jót nézek én se ki egy reboot-ból. Esetleg úgy el lehetne indulni, hogy megfilmesítik az első pár napot, a támadást. Aztán ha sikeres, lehet folytatni, egy trilógiával már le lehetne fedni nagyjából a történetet.
Ezt most így tíz év után hirtelen, hogy? Én abszolút rajongója vagyok a sorozatnak, éppen ezért kicsit félek ettől a reboottól. Nehogy ez is egy amolyan "lerántjuk a sárba ezt az univerzumot is" alkotás legyen.
