Arámi elnevezése tehát kerítést, sövénykerítést jelentett. Ál-Zakariás és mások alapján pedzegettük, hogy a betelepített lovas népeket igen nagy számban alkalmazhatták határőrként. Még azt is leírják, hogy engedték be őket a keleti kapukon a perzsák, amikor szükség volt rájuk.
