Mindig meg lehet oldani a Bp.-is indulást ,legfeljebb át kell szállni. Mi is átszállóssal megyünk immár másodszorra a WinAir-el.
Azért ők, mert nem raknak rá tisztességtelen mértékű hasznot a külföldi irodák áraira és minden irodát tudnak folgalni. Már első alkalommal is megtették nekünk, hogy az indulás előtti héten fizethettük ki az út felét, ami azért nagy szívesség. Most másodszorra (4-en megyünk velük másodszorra) már azt a kedvezményt is megadták, hogy a német katalógus eurós árait fizethettük ki euróban, csak a repülőt fizettük forintban. Na ez azért nem semmi ám! Más iroda átszámolja 280 Ft árfolyamon + haszonkulcs + kapja a jutalékot, így nem csoda, hogy 20e/nap jön ki Meeru-ra, ami WinAir-nél forintban, utcáról beesőknek is 10800!
Már legutóbb is sokkal jobb árakat mondtak, mint bárhol máshol, most meg, hogy volt eurónk főleg.
Olcsóbb irodájuk van, most már több utat bonyolítanak (köszönhetően a fórumnak is!), így sokkal olcsóbban tudnak dolgozni, mint mások.
Semmi gondunk nem volt velük, minden úgy kaptunk, ahogy rendeltük.

Itt a fórumon sokan szeretik a Winair-t (www.winair.hu), állítólag megbízhatóak, és nem volt velük gond. Mi most a ForTwo utazási irodával (Tui utazási központ) foglaltattuk a Jahn útját, és eddig meg vagyunk velük elégedve, segítettek akciós müncheni repjegyet is szerezni. De siessetek foglalni, mert a helyek nagyon telnek és fogynak az akciós ajánlatok is.

Szerintem külföldi utazási irodával (ITS, JahnReisen, Meiers, DerTour...stb.) menjetek, nagyon jó áraik vannak (általában). A képlet tök egyszerű: bemész egy olyan magyar irodába, akiknek külföldi (német, osztrák) irodákkal vannak kapcsolatuk. Mi november végén megyünk 3 hétre, és sikerült olyan árat kifogni, amiből jobb esetben is csak 2hétre mehettünk volna. Novemberben szerintem nincs bp-i indulás, csak bécsi, vagy annál messzebb. Mi BP-ről Münchenbe megyünk és onnan megyünk tovább Male-ra.
Mi szerencsésen hazaértünk, bár az út nagyon fárasztó volt. Ha megérkeztek Colombóba, lehet hogy érdemes igénybe venni a reptéri ún. Day room-ot (20usd), mert a karfás műanyag székeiken nekünk nem igazán sikerült aludni. Malé pedig valóban nem tartozik a világ főbb turisztikai attrakciói közé. A cápához gratulálok, a túléléséhez is.
Mi november kozepen mennenk Sun-ra, de total elbizonytalanodtam.... Tud valaki valami biztatot is mondani? : ) Nekunk is az elso utunk lesz a Maldiv-szigetekre pici babankkal es anyossal felszerelkezve.... : )))

LONDON (eTurbo News) -- There are calls for a tourism boycott of the Indian Ocean paradise of The Maldives, following a crack-down on political dissent by opponents of the ruling President Gayoom. At the same time, an international campaign has been launched to highlight the inequalities of recent tourism wealth and on-going poverty amongst the majority of the 300,000 islanders.
The situation in the Maldives is to be discussed at a meeting of tour operators trading with resorts and luxury hotel owners on the islands, and is to be raised in the European Parliament where there is to be a call for trade sanctions.
A protest last week against the detention of hundreds of political prisoners turned violent when police moved in to disperse the crowds in the Maldives capital, Malé.
As reported in eTurbo News last Wednesday, the UK government has sent a note expressing concern at reports of police attacks on demonstrators and the large number of arrests including political representatives. The Maldives benefits hugely from growing numbers of holiday-makers from Britain and the British government said it would be watching developments closely.
The trouble began when police used tear gas and a baton charge to break up a peaceful demonstration outside the police headquarters in Malé. A crowd of about 5,000 had gathered to demand the release of political prisoners. The authorities released four prominent reformists, but this was not enough to pacify the protesters, who demanded the resignation of hard-line ministers and the chief of police.
The BBC described the demonstration as a sign of increasing frustration with the slow pace of political reform and democracy in the Maldives, and said the police action sparked off a riot with protesters setting fire to some government buildings.
The government imposed a state of emergency, and the BBC quoted a government spokesman saying it would be lifted “as soon as we find out which elements were trying to subvert the political process and incite violence”.
The Maldivian president told a meeting of the cabinet that life in Malé had returned to normal after the “mob violence” on the 12th and 13th of this month. He said that investigations into the events were making progress.
One of the reformists currently in detention is a former minister of tourism, Ibrahim Zaki, as reported in eTurbo News last week. Others include Gassim Ibrahim, a leading businessman in the tourism and hospitality sector, which is now a vital part of the Maldives economy but is largely controlled by the government.
Political parties are banned officially in the Maldives where President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom has ruled for 25 years, but the Maldives Democratic Party operates largely in secret and among exiles outside the country with a base in Sri Lanka and a support group known as Friends of Maldives, headquartered in England.
Opponents of the Gayoom’s government say it is responsible for arbitrary arrests, detention without trial and torture in prison. The government denies that there are any political prisoners in its jails. Mr. Gayoom has invited the European Union to send a fact-finding mission to the Maldives to assess the impact of the recent disturbances. The countries of the EU are the biggest tourism market for the Maldives, and the government is concerned that reports of mob violence could deter visitors, which would have a bad effect on growth of a major part of the economy.
Mr. Gayoom has also had talks with the head of the British Commonwealth, Don McKinnon who had phoned to enquire about last week’s incidents. Gayoom said he would not let “fundamentalist elements and other extremists” derail the reform agenda that he had set out earlier this year.
The Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has called for foreign tourists to stay away from the Maldives and accused the government of ordering the detention of 300 opponents and political dissidents.
“We are asking for a boycott of the Maldives,” said MDP spokesman Mohamed Latheef, speaking to reporters in the Sri Lankan capital, Colombo. “This is not something we have done before because 60 to 70 percent of the economy was linked to tourism,” he said.
The MDP claims that foreign currency earnings and profits from tourism go to a handful of Gayoom’s supporters while the majority of the population suffer poverty and malnutrition. “While you enjoy the beaches of the Maldives, don’t forget that Gayoom is torturing his people,” added Latheef.
The call for a tourism boycott has received the support of a British member of the European Parliament, Nirj Deva. Mr. Deva, who represents South-East England in the European Parliament, told reporters that in his view, tourism was underpinning the lavish lifestyle of President Gayoom and his closest friends.
“The truth is, far from being the majestic paradise promoted by scores of glossy brochures in travel agents up and down the High Streets across the United Kingdom, the Maldives is a land of torture, oppression and murder.”
Mr. Deva explained that 77,400 British, 106,400 Italian and 77,600 German tourists visited the Maldives in the past year, paying an average of US$200 per night in luxury hotels. “They are supporting a tyrannical regime where 329,000 people are scrounging out an existence on less than sixty cents a day,” he said.
“Whilst many have a vision of the Maldives as a land of relaxation and peace, few are aware of the true state of the nation. The only way to guarantee the fall of this evil regime is for the tourist trade, which funds the gold-plated taps in Gayoom’s many mansions whilst the citizens of the country starve, to cease immediately.”
The boycott calls have come just as a campaign was starting to urge the Maldivian authorities to spread the benefits of tourism more evenly. The London-based NGO and research organization, Tourism Concern, has called a meeting of tour operators trading in the Maldives, to be held in London next month.
Tourism Concern does not support a boycott, which it fears would worsen the poverty and living standards of local people even more.
It has launched a campaign to draw attention to the need for corrective action to reduce the inequalities of tourism wealth co-existing with dire poverty in the island nation.
“There are major disparities between the living conditions of the privileged and of the Maldivian islanders who live in poverty,” said a spokesman. “The income from the resorts rarely reaches those who need it and benefits the select few, including the government in the form of taxes. State management of tourism protects these systems and ensures local communities are denied access to the benefits of tourism.”
In a briefing paper, Tourism Concern says local people are unable to speak out because of the repressive government and conditions where they are faced with imprisonment and possible torture. The aim of Tourism Concern’s campaign is to identify and effect change in tourism to improve living conditions and the human rights of local communities in the Maldives. Tourism Concern’s campaign is backed by Friends of Maldives, a group of exiled Maldivian democrats and their supporters, who also oppose an outright tourism boycott.
President Gayoom is credited with modernizing the economy of the Maldives and turning it from dependence on fishing to earning foreign exchange from tourism. In statistical terms, earnings per head of population in the Maldives are now the highest in South Asia and the country is recognized on paper as “successful.” But research by Tourism Concern has highlighted the fact that only a small minority of the population has actually felt any economic benefit from the growth of tourism.
Over 90 percent of government tax revenue comes from import duties and tourism-related taxes. The government receives money in the form of a so-called bed tax from resorts islands, guest houses and yachts. The bed tax is set to rise from US$ 6.00 per day to US$8.00 per day from November. A small group of companies and families own most of the tourism resorts, including Universal Enterprises, which owns eight resort islands and the Villa Group which owns five resorts.
The government has launched a bidding process on a further 11 islands for development into luxury tourist resorts. International observers are concerned that there is not sufficient transparency in the bidding process and fear that the vast sums of money involved could end up in private hands. Leases on the resort islands are estimated to make about US$40 million per year, which could make a huge impact on the quality of life of Maldivians if it was properly accounted for.
The contrast between the wealth created from tourism and the poverty of most local people has been highlighted also by a recent report from the United Nations, which says 42 percent of the population of the Maldives live on less than US$1.17 per day, and half of those are significantly below the generally accepted international poverty threshold of US$1.00 per day. “The Maldivian people face a nutritional situation more acute than sub-Saharan Africa,” says the report of the UN Development Assistance Framework.
In its briefing paper, Tourism Concern says local Maldivians are terrified to speak out openly because they risk imprisonment and torture. “This has been illustrated by Amnesty International, Reporters without Borders, International Pen, the BBC and other media reports. In the past decade, dozens of people including politicians, journalists, and others protesting government policies have been detained arbitrarily in defiance of their fundamental right to freedom of expression and assembly,” says Tourism Concern.
The meeting of UK tour operators trading in the Maldives is set for Monday, September 13 in the House of Commons within the UK Parliament in London. The plight of Maldivians is also to be raised in the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament in Brussels, where MEP, Nirj Deva, will be leading a call for EU trade sanctions and a travel ban to be imposed while President Gayoom remains in power in the Maldives.
Meanwhile, the government of the Maldives has announced it has set up a "task force" to investigate the activities of MDP following the call in Sri Lanka for a tourism boycott of the Maldives. The government statement described the MDP as an illegal organization.
The tourism minister, Hassan Sobir said the task force would study the impact the activities of the MDP and other campaigning groups may have on the Maldives tourism industry and decide on what he called “remedial measures.” “These kinds of activities will affect the tourism industry of Maldives but at the moment it is difficult to assess to what extent the tourism industry will be affected," he said.
Some resort operators said they cannot accept any group which calls for any slow-down in the development of the Maldives tourism sector. "The committee will try to minimize the negative impacts as much as possible," said Dr Abdulla Mausoom, director of the Maldives Tourism Promotion Board.
Mikor az első összeveszésen túl voltam a Thomas Cook helyi képviselőjével - a szobafoglalási probléma miatt - útban Male felé, a dhonin elmondta, hogy bár nem régóta van itt, de nem ez az első eset amiről tud Sun Island-el kapcsolatban. De ezek azt mondta, hogy mindig csak a foglalási rendszerrel kapcsolatos "zavarok" voltak, minőségi kifgosáról nem tudott/hallott.

Hát igen, Fihalhohi győzött... :-))) Az az igazság, hogy mindkét szigetet nagyon favorizáltuk, nagyon nehéz volt a döntés. Valójában a 3hétnyi időtartam győzött, meg az, hogy a part legalább olyan gyönyörű, mint Vilu-é. A programok "kevéssége" nem zavar, ami kell, az benne van! Dolphin Reef, helikopteres fényképezés...stb. Mivel búvárvizsgánk is van, sokat fogunk búvárkodni is. Egyszóval, nem hiszem, hogy unatkozni fogunk.... :-)) Nem tudod véletlenül, hogy miért nincsenek felrakva a búvárárak a szigetre? Ez még nagyon érdekelne, de sehol sem tudom megszerezni. Szerinted kérjek árakat közvetlenül a szigettől mailben? Ha esetleg mégis el tudnád küldeni a "szobakérő" levélmintádat, annak nagyon örülnék. Címem: blakatos@takinfo.hu

Nem hiszem, hogy az AI korlátokkal járna. Az viszont igaz, hogy mindig tájékozódni kell, hogy mit fizet ki az ember, mi is van pontosan a szolgáltatás csomagban. Mindenki ismervén az igényeit, szokásait és anyagi lehetőségét el tudja dönteni, hogy megéri-e neki vagy sem.
Mi minden este koktélozgattunk, minden fakultatívon ott voltunk, használtuk a sznori cuccukat, naponta kiürítettük a minibárt, úgyhogy nekünk megérte az AI. Elsősorban nem pénzben érte meg, hanem kényelmi szempontból.
Remélem jó utad van, mert most reptéren vagy repülőn kell lenned!

Érdekes ez, már más is panaszkodott Sunon a kiszolgálásra, de azért alapjában nem ez jellemző Maldívra. Sőt!
Nagy szigeteken nyilván előbb előfordul ez, egy kis helyen mindig jobban figyelnek a vendégre, mert személyesebb a kapcsolat, közvetlenebb az érdekeltség, ez másutt is így van, nemcsak Maldívon.
Az All-ról mondottak, meg elgondolkodtatnak, lehet, hogy ha van rá pénz, akkor is néha érdemesebb mást választani, mert ez is korlátokkal jár?!
Akkor most szeptember elején tetőzik ez a csúcs megint, mert 6an megyünk végül kuramathira, sőt egymás melletti szobákat kértünk :-)) És nem tudjuk, h ott összefutunk-e újabb magyarokkal, de a repülőn tuti még1 pár lesz, azaz 8 magyar egy csapatban egész maléig. Ami a plána az az, h mi 6an hidroplán transzerrel megyünk, ugyhogy szerintem meg olyan még nem volt, h ott távol egy egész mini hidroplánt megtöltsenek magyarok :-)) nos ...eddig jutottunk a MESZ meg ezen fórum hatására
Hát, megértelek..., mégha én nem is biztos, hogy így döntöttem volna. Szerintem nem fogtok csalódni, ha nem annyira fontos az ellátás és a programok nagy változatossága.
A levelet nem tudom hogy megvan-e még, most a melóhelyen vagyok, de szerintem teljesen nyugodtan írhatsz németül is. Külön németes vendégfelelős is van a szigeten, nem hiszem, hogy gond lenne. De mi nem is a 8-ast kértük, amit kértünk ott valami rangos indiai?, maldív?, srí lankai ? család volt, azt mondták ezt tudják adni, de szerintük jó ez is. Igazuk volt, bár nem is problémáztam, számomra az északi vagy keleti part és az egyszint volt a fontos. Utólag mondom, hogy lehet, hogy ez jobb volt, én azt hiszem az első kétszintesek utáni egyszintesek közül kértem valamelyiket, ami már az északi parton van. Itt egy kicsit szelesebb volt, s nem láttuk igazából előnyét az első egyszintesekhez képest, talán csak azt, hogy jobban ki lehetett látni a tengerre, de ezek apróságok. Hogy 8-as, 7-es, 6-os, 5-ös, szerintem mindegy. Persze, tudod ízlések és pofonok, lehet, hogy ti majd nem így látjátok, de én így gondolom. A 9-estől egy ideig kétszintesek, nekem az nem kellett volna. De ha nektek jó az is, akkor csak ahhoz ragaszkodjatok, hogy a keleti vagy az északi parton legyen, mivel már működik a főmólónál is a bár, talán jobb egy kicsit távolabb, bár ha mindig buliznátok, akkor ez se biztos, hogy igaz. Ha nem ismerkedünk össze az angolokkal akkor biztosan kevesebbet vagyunk a bárban, mert ettől az úttól most nem ezt vártuk elsősorban, akkor Sun-ra vagy Ibizára mentünk volna. Kicsit jó lett volna többet üldögélni nyugiban este a parton, de a két angol pár olyan jó fejek voltak, hogy nem bántuk meg. S ilyenkor jobb, ha nem dübörög a zene, egy maldív estétől nem ezt várjuk. A Blue Lagoon bártól már szinte semmi nem hallatszódott el a mi bungalónkhoz, de most nem tudom, hogy lehet. Nincs persze mindig zene, azt hiszem egyszer volt disco, egyszer élő zene, egyszer meg karaoke. Máskor csak háttér-zene szólt, ami viszont diszkrét, nem zavaró.
Egyébként a programokról is az jut eszembe, hogy nem puccos ez a sziget nagyon, de ami kell az megvan, s nagyon jó az ízlése annak aki vezeti...
Bridzsi 28 is küldött amúgy nekem egy fotót a bunginkról, majd otthonról felteszem.
Kuramathin pedig érvényesült Frei tétele, miszerint mindenhol vannak magyarok.
Kb. egy nap kellett, hogy rátaláljunk a világ másik oldalán is egy másik magyar párosra. Sőt a sebkendőnyi szigeten tetőzött az egy négyzetkilométerre jutó magyarok száma, amikor a hétvégére befutott egy harmadik páros is.
Megjegyzem a sziget pont egy négyzetkilométernyi volt, úgyhogy nem kellett bonyolult számításokat végezni!
Végül is kaptatok valami ellenentételezést? MIkor voltatok ott? És végül lehet tudni, hogy melyik utazási irodával mentetek? VOlt helyi képviselője vagy magatok alkudoztatok a szállodával?
Én a Kandooma szigetén voltam, de én nem tapasztaltam semmi rosszat. A csomagjainkat nekünk is odavitték a bungihoz, igaz mi gyalog mentünk a bungihoz. de hát nem volt nagy a távolság. Az egész sziget 500 x 400 m. A személyzet nagyon aranyos volt, a végén amikor elmentünk egy csomóan kijöttek integetni nekünk. Komolyan mondom facsarta a szívünket nagyon, hogy el kell onnan mennünk, a könnyeinkkel küzködtünk.
Mi teljes panzión voltun. Az ital pedig baromi olcsó volt. Egyik este tequila estét tartottunk, nagyon sokat ittunk és a végén fejenként 10 USD - t fizettünk csak. (6-an voltunk és 2 üveg tequilát ittunk meg).
A 1,5 víz 2 USD - be került, az üdítő pedig 1,5 USD - be. A kávé és a tea mindig ingyen volt.
Tudom ajánlani Replay ezt a szigetet. Speed boat-tal 40 perc.
