Description
The Impreza WRX STi Performance Package has been
designed to deliver class leading performance, boosting torque by up to 30% and extending its availability across a
wider rev range than the standard engine.
The improved performance is produced through a carefully
developed combination of matched exhaust and engine
management modifications. This combination of enhancements
boost peak power to 305PS at 6,000rpm (previously 265PS at
6000rpm on the standard engine) and deliver an impressive
405Nm of torque at 4,000rpm, an improvement of 18% on the
maximum torque of the standard car.
With the Performance Package fitted, the Impreza WRX STi has
more torque than the peak of the standard road car from
3,000rpm right through to 5,800rpm. These impressive statistics
ensure that drivers have the responsiveness required for
performance driving including all-important, mid-range
overtaking.

"While Mitsubishi is launching the Evo VIII for North America, Subaru announces it will also bring the Impreza STi to the US. Moreover, this STi not only loses no performance to its Japanese version, it even gets more engine capacity hence higher power and torque! the boxer-4 engine grows from 2.0 to 2.5 litre, still equipping with variable valve timing, large tubocharger and big intercooler. As a result, it generates 300 hp and 300 lbft, compare with the Japanese version's 280hp and 275lbft.
Unlike Evo VIII, the American Impreza STi sacrifices none of its high-spec mechanicals. It still has the variable split ratio center differential, through which the driver can alter torque split between front and rear axles. It still has the 6-speed manual gearbox and the Brembo brakes. Mas nem, probald ugy felfogni az egeszet ugy, hogy a TopGear-ben sem az Imprezat hasonlitottak az imadatod targyahoz, hanem pont forditva - ez sokat elarul a ket marka viszonyarol.
Ha a TG mondja elhiszem..., de attól még nem lesz birminghami reptér az országút hazánkban. Tehát attól, hogy ott produkálja, még közel nem fix, hogy itt is megtörténne...
Ha meg játszunk egy ilyet, hogy pl.: szárazon a ringen egy kör, aztán az egészet fellocsoljuk, majd beszórjuk apró kavicsokkal, utána behavazzuk, végül jegesítjük, akkor kis matekkal megnézhetjük, hogy melyik milyen átlagban teljesített, mert átlagolva használjuk az úton is őket, nem CSAK 1valamin.
