Viszont nem kompatibilis a Print Music! Demó verziójával :-/ Grace note-ot, meg néhány más "cifrázást" ahogy néztem nem tud a Notepad, azt akartam csinálni, hogy ezeket kihagyom, aztán kimentem belőle, és betöltöm a PM demóba, és onnan nyomtatom ps-fájlba amiben a "Print Music Demo" szöveg sima postscript szövegként van bent, ergo.... (nem folytatom...) viszont a pm demó nem ette meg :-/
Remélem, hogy csak a demó ilyen fatökű, mert pár dolgot már csináltam a NotePad-dal, és nem akarom azokat kidobni, amikor megérkezik a PM full verziója... (épp a vámon pihizik...)

Figyelem: A Finale 2005 a régebbi operációs rendszereket (pl. Win NT, Mac OS 9) már nem támogatja! A program regisztráció köteles, cserébe viszont legálisan 2 gépen használható (pl. munkahelyen és otthon).
Egyébként mérték nélküli kotta használatos a zenei oktatás korai éveiben, az alsó iskolai osztályokban is, akár zsír új darabokkal is, hogy ne csak a középkorra gondolhassunk.

How can I notate meterless music?
I wish to enter music that does not have a definite meter, such as chant. How can I accomplish this?
In Finale, measures are always defined by a time signature. You can, however, create the illusion that there is no time signature. This articles outlines one general technique which can be altered to meet your specific needs.
- From the File menu, under New select Default Document.
- Choose the Mass Mover Tool.
- In the Edit menu choose Select All.
- In the Mass Mover menu choose Fit Music.
- Choose "Lock Layout with 1 Measure Per System", then click OK
- Choose the Measure Tool.
- In the Edit menu choose Select All.
- In the Measure menu choose Edit Measure Attributes.
- For Barline, choose Invisible (this is optional).
- For Time Signature, choose Always Hide.
- Check Position Notes Evenly Across Measure. (this way, the actual time signature will not determine the position of the notes).
- Click OK.
- Choose the Time Signature Tool, and click on the first measure (line of music).
- In the Time Signature dialog box, set the time signature to a large one, which could contain the music you want in one line, such as 48/4. Click OK
Now you have what appears to be music without measures, but each line of music is actually a 48/4 measure.
You may want to save this as a template:
- Go to the File menu and select Save As.
- For Save In, open the Templates folder in the Finale folder.
- In Windows, for Save As Type, choose Finale Template File (*.FTM)
- Name the file something like "Chant" and click Save.
You can enter your music in one of two ways into this document:
1. Enter the music into the "measures", without changing the hidden time signature of those "measures". To do this, you may need to turn off the "Check For Extra Notes" option under the Simple, and Speedy menus when using those tools so that you can "overfill" certain measures. This method has the disadvantage of not playing back correctly.
2. Enter the music into the "measures", changing the hidden time signature of each "measure" to fit the contents of that measure exactly. This has the advantage of playing back more accurately.
Additional Tips for chant notation:
- Once the music is entered, you can use either the beat charts of the measure tool or the note position special tool to precisely position the notes within each "measure".
- For multiple lyrics (syllables) attached to one note, separate them with a "hard space" instead of a regular space. This will not cause the cursor to skip to the next note. To make a "hard space":
- Windows: hold down the Alt key while typing 0160 on the NUMERIC KEYPAD (not the "typewriter" keys), and then release the Alt key.
- Macintosh: Hold down the option key whil pressing the sapcebar.
- If you do not want stems, go to the Options Menu >> Document Settings >> Music Options, and set the Normal and Shortened Stem Lengths to zero.
- If you are transcribing early music, such as Gregorian square notation or Italian mixed notation, you may want to take a look at the Medieval Finale plug-in from Klemm Music Technology.

Pl. metrum nélküli zenében nem kell ütemvonal. A középkori egyszólamú énekek korában nem is volt, aztán később, a polifónia világában egyre inkább szükségessé vált, de sokáig nélkülözték.
Mivel nem vagyok zenész, fogalmam sincs, hogy mire jó az ütembeosztás nélküli kotta, de azért gyorsan átnéztem a lehetőségeket. Így elsőre talán az a legegyszerűbb, ha az ütemvonalat láthatatlanná teszed. (Edit measure attributes / Invisible). Ugyanígy bármilyen default jelölés ki-be kapcsolható (külön a display és a printer számára). Vagy hülyeséget beszélek?
letöltöttem a Finale 2004 demo-t, de még nem tudtam kitapasztalni a képességeit. Amire leginkább szükségem lenne: lehet-e a Finale-ban ütembeosztás nélküli kottát szerkeszteni?

A Voice feliratot a Finale NotePad 2003-ban nem lehet eltüntetni. A 2002-es verzióban sikerült. Van egy txt fájl, amelyikből ki kell törölni a "Voice" tételt. De a helye akkor is ott marad.
Az akkordkíséretet tényleg csak szövegként kezeli.
A többi problémát pedig szintén csak a PrintMusic! 2002, vagy a Finale Guitar 2003 tudja kezelni.

Szeretnénk a segítségét kérni a Finale NotePad 2003 programmal kapcsolatosan.
Gondolkoztunk rajta, de nem tudjuk megoldani az a lábbi problémákat:
- Nem tudom beállítani, hogy az egyes sorok hány ütemet tartalmazzanak,
- az utolsó ütemet nem úgy kezeli a program, mint az előzők a "maradékát", hanem kitölti szünetekkel a teljes sort.
- Azt sem szeretném, ha minden ének elején ott éktelenkedne a piros Voice felirat.
- Az ismétléssel is gondunk volt. Nem mutatja a prima voltát és secunda voltát, és ha ismétlésnél más a szöveg, nem tudom, hogyan kell beírni az első szöveg alá.
- Az akkordkíséretet a program csak szöveges részekként kezeli, nem kapcsolja konkrét hanghoz - jól tudom?
A számítógépes kottagrafikai programok, főleg a Finale programcsalád (Finale, Allegro, Guitar, PrintMusic, NotePad) felhasználóit invitálom, hogy problémáikat, tapasztalataikat, trükkjeiket végre magyarul is meg tudják egymással beszélni, a rutinosabbak jó tanácsokkal segíthessék a kezdőket - amolyan alulról szerveződő, össznépi "online support" formában - és minden egyéb más téma is szóba jöhet, ami a kottagrafikával, kottázással, olvasással, kiadással és zenéléssel összefügghet.
